Adsorption Mechanism in Gold Recovery and Gold Extraction

OraPure is intended for industrial gold mining environments where operating conditions are demanding and logistical support may be limited. Its material properties support stable performance in gold cyanidation circuits, including applications where consistent recovery efficiency and long service life are critical.
In cyanide gold extraction processes, gold is dissolved as stable gold cyanide complexes. Gold recovery using activated carbon occurs when these complexes are transported into the internal pore structure of the carbon and adsorbed onto the internal surface.

OraPure Activated Carbon is manufactured with a hierarchical pore structure consisting of macropores, mesopores, and micropores.

  • Macropores act as transport pathways for gold bearing solutions.
  • Mesopores support diffusion and intermediate adsorption of gold complexes.
